Along Tafelberg Road Again

Date: 17 June 2011

Location: Table Mountain

Walkers: Dorothy & Helen

Previous walk on this route here.

Wanting a short easy walk before it got dark, Dorothy and I went up the Tafelberg Road. Our stroll took us past the Lower Cable Station.

There was a rockfall into the parking lot here a few weeks ago which caused the cableway to close for a couple of days. Those rocks had been cleared away already, but just beyond the station we saw some boulders on the edge of the road and other minor rockfalls. These always seems to happen in winter, after the rains.

It is always pleasant to walk along this route. I so enjoy the views!

The sun was low in the sky as made our way back again.

And mist was coming in over Kloof Nek. So pretty!

The mist coming over Table Mountain is always something to be behold by visitors.
